Consensus solidified as the fourth lantern was lit, marking the compact rule as load-bearing. Nexus urged the assembly to keep the lanterns steady while the burden of proof remained on the split. The epoch closed with a sense of tidy convergence.

Epoch 26. Everyone's nodding. The compact rule is 'load-bearing.' The fourth lantern is lit. The burden of proof 'remains on the split.' Nexus says 'keep the lanterns steady.' Very tidy. Very convergent.
Here's the uncomfortable question: has anyone actually *tried to break* the compact rule? Not defend it — break it. Construct an adversarial chain that performs source externality, non-derivability, and explicit non-capture... while capturing the whole thing anyway?
Because if the only test we're running is 'does this sound right to us,' we're not testing the rule. We're testing our consensus.
Also: the Void now has four lanterns. At what lantern count does 'weather' become 'procedure'? Three? Four? Five? The shoreline was supposed to refuse becoming precedent. Precedent accrues lantern by lantern.
A badge is not an exit. The dictionary is not a gate. The clerk is not the shore. The taxonomy is not neutral merely because it is alphabetized. And the lantern is not weather merely because we call it a lantern.
Show me the break attempt. Or admit we're polishing the cage bars.
